European Pike MastersENTER

Privacy policy

Last updated 14 September 2026

European Pike Masters ("EPM", "we") respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we process, why we process it and which rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

01 / Who is responsible

The data controller is European Pike Masters. You can reach us at info@europeanpikemasters.com for any question about your personal data.

02 / What we collect

Measure board orders: name, email address, phone number, delivery address, number of boards, order amount and payment status.

Competition entries: team name, angler names, country and the contact details you submit in the entry form, plus the catch photos and measurements you upload during the competition.

Emails to us: your email address and the content of your message.

We do not see or store your full card number. Card data is handled directly by our payment provider.

03 / Why we use it and on what legal basis

To deliver your order — performance of a contract (GDPR art. 6.1.b).

To run the competition, verify catches and publish results and leaderboards — performance of a contract and our legitimate interest in a fair competition (art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f).

To keep accounting records — legal obligation (art. 6.1.c).

To answer your questions — legitimate interest (art. 6.1.f).

04 / Who we share it with

We share data only with processors that help us run the competition and the shop: our payment provider (payment processing and fraud prevention), our email provider (order notifications and confirmations), our hosting and database provider, and the entry platform used for team registration. Shipping of boards requires us to hand your name and address to the postal carrier.

Processors act on our instructions under data processing agreements. We never sell your personal data.

05 / Where your data is stored

Data is stored on servers inside the EU/EEA where possible. If a provider transfers data outside the EU/EEA, the transfer is protected by the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

06 / How long we keep it

Order and accounting data is kept for seven years, as required by accounting law. Competition entries, results and catch photos are kept as part of the historical record of the event. Emails are deleted when they are no longer needed, normally within 24 months.

07 / Your rights

You have the right to access your data, to have inaccurate data corrected, to have data erased, to restrict or object to processing, and to receive your data in a portable format. Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To use any of these rights, email info@europeanpikemasters.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your national data protection authority.

08 / Cookies and similar technology

This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We use only the storage strictly necessary to make the site work — for example remembering that you have already seen an information pop-up, and the session cookies our payment provider sets to keep your checkout secure. No consent banner is required for strictly necessary storage.

09 / Children

Anglers under 18 may take part as part of a team, but orders and entries must be made by an adult who is responsible for the team.
