COMMON QUESTIONS
THE BASICSWhen does registration open and close?
Registration opens 10 September 2026 at 20:00 CET and closes 25 September 2026 at 20:00 CET. After the deadline we draw the groups and no more teams can be added.
How much does it cost to enter?
The entry fee is 35 € per person. No starter package is sent this year, so you can use an official EPM measure board from any previous season.
Will I receive a starter package by post?
No. We do not send out starter packages this year. You can use an official EPM measure board from any previous season, or buy a new one for 35 € while stock lasts.
Can I use an old EPM measure board?
Yes. Any official EPM measure board from a previous season is valid in 2026. New boards can be bought for 35 € while stock lasts. The board must be the EPM-branded board with the jaw stop and clear centimetre scale.
How big must the team be?
A team is 1–3 anglers. Groups are capped at 25 teams each.
Where can we fish during the qualifying round?
You can fish any European water where pike fishing is allowed. You must follow 100% of your country's fishing laws, recommendations and the rules of the specific water you fish.
How are the fish measured?
Lay the pike flat on the official EPM board. The jaw must be at the zero mark, the nose touching the board, and the photo must be taken straight from above. Crooked, angled or partial photos are rejected.
What is the start number and where must it be visible?
The current season start number is released at 08:00 CET when the competition starts. It must be visible in every measurement photo — on the board, on a piece of paper or in another clear way. It does not need to be in the posing picture.
How do we report our catches?
Catches are logged in the Fishy Live app with a measurement photo and a posing picture. The leaderboard is updated live.
What fish count towards the score?
Your Big 5 — the five longest pike over 70 cm — count. Only pike of 70 cm or longer are valid, and every fish must be released alive.
What happens if we break a rule?
Any rule break leads to immediate disqualification. No warnings, no exceptions. You must follow all local laws, water rules and competition rules at all times.
What can we win?
1ST: €2,000. 2ND: Pike Fishing Holiday. LONGEST: Drysuit.
How does the final work?
The top three teams from each qualifying group advance to the final. The final takes place on 31 October–1 November 2026 at a location announced by the organisers.
